(Almonte, Ramsay and Pakenham), Arnprior and Carleton Place providing the opportunity for a
growing number of area residents to have their babies closer to home. The Hospital has five
Level One OBS beds and averages about 400 deliveries annually. There are two OBS/GYNs on active
staff and two are on the consulting staff. Local family physicians provide OBS, anaesthetic and
Emergency Department coverage. Epidural and c-section capability are available 24/7. The Hospital
also has six credentialed midwives providing services.

The Ottawa Valley Family Health Team, established in 2010, includes 11 local family physicians
and seven interdisciplinary health professionals. The team operates in a new, purpose-built space
adjoining the Hospital.
