Welcome Message by Board Chair
Welcome to Almonte General Hospital and Fairview Manor! Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you find the information helpful and informative.
I consider it a privilege to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors and to work with these committed and community-minded members. We take our responsibilities seriously and are accountable to the patients, their families, staff members – as well as the local communities that we all live in. We want to make a difference.
The future looks bright as we build on the successes of the past and plan for the coming years. We will continue to work with our wellness partners to best serve the people of Mississippi Mills and beyond. And our new Mississippi River Health Alliance with the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital creates another opportunity to share ideas and a vision for ensuring the best care close to home.
We welcome your input. If you have ideas, comments or concerns, please contact the President and CEO. Mary Wilson Trider can be reached at 613-256-2514, ext. 2220, by email at email@example.com or by mail at 75 Spring Street, Almonte, ON K0A 1A0.

AGH’s Board provides leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s three divisions – Almonte General Hospital, Fairview Manor and Lanark County Paramedic Service - while overseeing key aspects of performance. To complement existing skills on the Board, a legal, healthcare professional (e.g. nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy) or government relations background is desirable. Previous experience as a member of a board or in a senior leadership role is an asset.

Members of the Professional staff, employees and their spouses, children, parents or siblings (or the spouse of any child, parent or sibling) are not eligible to serve unless permitted by a majority vote of the Board of Directors.
The Nominating Committee will interview potential candidates and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors for approval.
